Valéry Fradkov came to the US about 20 years ago
as a refugee from the Soviet regime.
He was teaching physics, chemistry and materials science
at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, NY,
and performed computer simulation research for
Space Research Laboratory at NASA.
Dr. Fradkov published over 50 publications in leading
international scientific magazines.
Since 1996, Dr. Fradkov worked as financial matematician and served as Vice Presiden for major Wall Street institutions such as Goldman Sacks and Lehman Brothers. Since 2006, he works as psychological consultant and psychotherapist, from time to time supplementing his income by consulting financial institutions on quantitative computer modeling. |
Dr. Fradkov earned his Doctorate in Science at the Russian Academy
of Sciences (Moscow) and Master's of Social Work at the Adelphi
University (New York). He is licensed to provide clinical services
(psychotherapy). He also provides non-clinical services, such as psychological
consulting on interpersonal communication issues, both in his office and
over the Internet using computer-to-computer video conferencing utilities such
as Skype.
Dr. Fradkov lives in New Jersy with his wife and two homeschooled children,
Adina (13) and Eugene (10). His other children are Elena,
who is a senior at Harvard University; and Nadia,
who homeschools three children of her own and is currently busy organizing
this workshop.
