Photo of Valery Fradkov Valéry Fradkov came to the US more than 20 years ago as a refugee from the Soviet regime. He was teaching physics, chemistry and materials science at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, NY, and performed computer simulation research for Space Research Laboratory at NASA. Dr. Fradkov published over 50 publications in leading international scientific journals.

Since 1996, Dr. Fradkov worked as financial mathematician and served as Vice President for major Wall Street institutions such as Goldman Sacks and Lehman Brothers. Since 2006, he works as psychological consultant and psychotherapist, from time to time supplementing his income by consulting financial institutions on quantitative computer modeling.

Dr. Fradkov earned his Doctorate in Science at the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow) and Master's in Clinical Social Work at the Adelphi University (New York). He is licensed (LCSW) to provide clinical services (psychotherapy) in NJ. He also provides non-clinical services, such as psychological consulting on interpersonal relationship issues, both in his office and over the Internet (using computer-to-computer video conferencing utilities such as Skype). His current research interests are in the area of emotions, relationships, and non-verbal communication.

Dr. Fradkov lives in Dumont, New Jersy with his wife and two homeschooled children, Adina (18), who has just graduated and is going to study in Hampshire College, and Eugene (16). He has two more daughters: Elena, who has graduated from Harvard University and is studying medicine at NWU, and Nadia, who homeschools four children of her own and works as homeshcooling facilitator in Edmonton, Alberta (Canada).
